I spent three nights at the Hotel Nongshim located in Dongnae-gu, Busan. Originally operating as Dongnae Tourist Hotel in the 1960s, it underwent a renewal in 2002 and changed its name to the current one. The interior of the rooms is modest but tidy, and being a hot spring location itself adds to its charm. However, I was disappointed that the bedside light did not work and there were not enough outlets.
Hotel Nongshim provides soap instead of disposable shampoo in pursuit of environmental friendliness, and this soap contains hot spring water. But it seems that the water from the faucet used to be hot spring water but is no longer now.
The most impressive thing about staying at this hotel was that I could sleep deeply thanks to the pillows and blackout curtains provided by the hotel. It was great to be able to sleep comfortably until morning. Also, I had a fun time running into baseball players in the hotel lobby.
And one of the biggest advantages is that there’s ‘HeosimcheongBrew’ beer in the refrigerator! This made my trip and game watching in Busan even more enjoyable.

Summary of the Blog Post
In Busan, there are many hot springs and bathhouses that many people visit. Among them, Hotel Nongshim and Heosimcheong hold a lot of memories for me personally as I once worked briefly at the Hotel Nongshim where I was in charge of designing the logo for their bakery section.
During my recent visit to the Hotel Nongshim, I was delighted to see that they are still using the logo and pattern design that I created back then which brought back a lot of memories.
The rooms at Hotel Nongshim are spacious and comfortable which made my stay very relaxing. The traditional atmosphere and unique interior design of the hotel reminded me of the distinct vibe of the Komodo Hotel.
Heosimcheong bathhouse is a familiar place for people in Busan. I have many memories of enjoying a drink while taking a bath there, which made me laugh and become nostalgic.
As a beer lover, I was thrilled to find Japanese-style beer being sold at ‘HeosimcheongBrew’, a sake specialty store on the first floor of Hotel Nongshim. All the products they sell were totally my style.

I’d like to introduce an outdoor barbecue party you can enjoy at Hotel Nongshim located in Dongnae, Busan. Hotel Nongshim is equipped with various dining facilities and luxurious Ondol rooms as well as a large hot spring bath and this time I visited the outdoor barbecue area in their Beer Garden.
The Beer Garden is divided into a BBQ zone and garden tables, and I enjoyed the American set in the BBQ zone. The set consists of T-bone steak, sirloin, prime rib, sausage, lobster, assorted vegetables, ramen and three 500cc cups of craft beer. I was able to enjoy a perfect atmosphere with the beautiful nature of Dongnae in Busan as a backdrop while tasting the barbecue set made from high-quality ingredients.
The craft beer included in the BBQ set was also impressive. You can choose from Pils (Pils), Weizen (Weizen), or Dunkel (Dunkel) and I chose Weizen with its soft and subtle fruit flavor and Dunkel which is a smooth dark beer.
The outdoor barbecue and craft beer offered at Hotel Nongshim Beer Garden is an ideal place to spend quality time with friends or family. The experience of enjoying this in the beautiful natural environment within the city feels special as if you are enjoying a barbecue at a campsite.
