Even though I spend most of my time abroad, I never miss out on a good staycation when I’m back home in Korea – especially at the Grand Hyatt Seoul!
However recently with an increase in foreign guests and currency exchange rates soaring up; the accommodation costs have significantly risen making it hard for frequent visits but that doesn’t mean we can’t indulge ourselves on special occasions.
The Grand Hyatt Seoul, being a globally renowned brand, certainly lives up to its name. Located in the heart of Seoul city, it offers geographical convenience with cultural facilities like art galleries nearby – perfect for a leisurely stroll.
The lobby exudes a classic and grand atmosphere. The standard double rooms offer spectacular views of either the Han River or Namsan Mountain – both equally stunning.
One downside is the narrow bathroom but even that has been taken care of with some thoughtful remodeling to keep it clean and fresh. Grand Hyatt Seoul also provides both outdoor and indoor swimming pools which are available for one-time free use per room.
Their breakfast menu might not be very extensive but it’s neatly prepared with exceptional bakery items and coffee varieties.

I will finally analyze the most important category in hotel reviews, which is the price.
I will compare the lowest price results provided by the most famous hotel price comparison websites, “HotelsCombined,” “Sky Scanner,” and “Trivago,” in order to identify the place that offers the best price.
Lowest price search criteria: 1-night stay from Wednesday to Thursday, 1 room (for 2 guests), excluding breakfast(If breakfast is included in the accommodation conditions, the price goes up a lot).
5.1. “HotelsCombined” Price Comparison
In a fascinating turn of events, many sites including “Priceline”, “Booking.com”, and “Hotels.com” all displayed the same price of $300. However, I anticipate that this result may vary depending on the chosen dates for accommodation.
5.2. “Sky Scanner” Price Comparison
For a 1-night stay, Sky Scanner lists the lowest price as $299 when booked through sites like ‘Expedia’, ‘Hotels.com’, and ‘Priceline’. Intriguingly, this matches the pricing found on several other sites just like the results from Hotelscombined. Quite fascinating!”
5.3. “Trivago” Price Comparison
The lowest price on Trivago is $361 when booked through “ZenHotels.com”.
5.4. Official Hyatt Hotel Website
Finally, I checked the price on the official Hyatt Hotel website. The lowest price, based on the Standard rate, came out to be $300! This matches perfectly with the lowest price I found on “Hotelscombined”!!
Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that “Sky Scanner” provided the lowest price among the three price comparison websites. However, it didn’t show a significant difference from the lowest price of $300 found on both “Hotelscombined” and “the Official Hyatt Hotel Website”.
Anyway, it is recommended to consider this information when making a reservation.
