2.1. Review 1 : “The Best Value Hotel in Myeongdong: Stanford Hotel Myeongdong”

Summary of the Blog Post

Recently, I had the opportunity to stay at the Stanford Hotel in Myeongdong, which offers excellent value for money and accessibility. Located just a minute’s walk from Euljiro-1-ga Station, the hotel is close to the Lotte Department Store and an Apple Store, making it perfect for shopping and sightseeing. The check-in and check-out times are 3:00 PM and 12:00 PM, respectively, and parking is available at a mechanical tower, though it costs 50,000 KRW per day.

The lobby is located on the 9th floor, where the staff provided friendly service. It’s convenient that guests can store their luggage before and after check-in. However, toothbrushes and toothpaste are sold at the lobby for 1,000 KRW, so it’s wise to bring your own.

Breakfast is served at the 9th-floor Cafe Stanford, with prices set at 19,800 KRW for adults and 9,900 KRW for children, and a 10% discount for hotel guests. Breakfast hours are 7:00 AM to 9:30 AM on weekdays and 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM on weekends and holidays.

I stayed in a standard double room, which was not very spacious but sufficient for two people. The clean and simple decor, along with a comfortable bed, allowed for a good night’s sleep. I also enjoyed a partial view of Namsan Tower from my room. The bathroom was adequately sized and equipped with a bidet, and basic amenities were provided.

Facilities include a coin laundry and a fitness center on the 10th floor, with the fitness center offering basic equipment and operating from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Additionally, an ice water dispenser is available in the hallway for free ice. There is a small shop on the 9th floor where guests can buy snacks and drinks, though prices are higher than at convenience stores.

Overall, the Stanford Hotel Myeongdong is an excellent choice for its accessibility and value. The cleanliness and friendly service made my stay enjoyable. The main drawbacks are the lack of free parking and the inconvenience of elevator transfers, as guests must change elevators from the lobby to reach their rooms. Nonetheless, I had a wonderful time in Myeongdong and would recommend this hotel.

2.2. Review 2 : “A Perfect Staycation in Myeongdong: Stanford Hotel Myeongdong”

Summary of the Blog Post

Recently, I enjoyed a staycation with my mom at Stanford Hotel Myeongdong. This hotel, newly built in September 2021, is highly recommended for its location in the heart of Myeongdong, making it extremely accessible. It is just a 1-minute walk from Euljiro-1-ga Station, and directly across from the Lotte Department Store, which is convenient for shopping and dining. The hotel entrance is easy to find by turning left past the Apple Store.

The lobby is located on the 9th floor, and check-in starts at 3:00 PM. We arrived a bit early, but the luggage storage service was available, so we had no issues. Near the front desk, there’s a café where breakfast is served. Breakfast hours are from 7:00 AM to 9:30 AM on weekdays and 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM on weekends and holidays.

We booked a “Family Twin Edge Room,” which features a double bed and a single bed in a spacious 30㎡ area. The room has large windows that provide a stunning city view, especially at night. The room was very clean and modern, which made for a pleasant stay. The bathroom also had a spacious bathtub, perfect for a relaxing soak after dinner, and came with bidets and essential amenities.

The hotel has an ice water dispenser for convenience, and the 10th floor features a coin laundry and fitness center, which is great for long-term guests. The room was equipped with a coffee pot, complimentary water, and various other amenities. The beds were incredibly comfortable, allowing for a restful night’s sleep.

Breakfast was served buffet-style and exceeded my expectations with a variety of options. We enjoyed fried rice, scrambled eggs, hamburger steak, assorted breads, fruits, and drinks. The fresh coffee and selection of breads were particularly delightful.

Overall, Stanford Hotel Myeongdong provided a satisfying experience in terms of location, facilities, and breakfast. I would definitely consider returning the next time I plan to stay in Myeongdong. I cherish the wonderful time spent with my mom and highly recommend this hotel!

2.3. Review 3 : “A Comfortable Stay in Myeongdong: Stanford Hotel Myeongdong”

Summary of the Blog Post

I recently stayed at Stanford Hotel Myeongdong with a friend during our historical trip, and I’d like to share my experience. The hotel is conveniently located about a minute’s walk from Euljiro-1-ga Station. Initially, I got lost and ended up entering through the Apple Store, but eventually found my way to the hotel. Upon reaching the 9th floor, I was greeted by the front desk and café, where I could easily get the information I needed.

I booked through Agoda and chose to pay at the hotel. It was great that I could access Netflix and YouTube in the room, and the front desk provided helpful information about breakfast and parking. One minor inconvenience was that I had to pick up delivery food on the first floor.

I was assigned a room on the 16th floor. The clean carpet in the hallway gave a pleasant feeling, enhancing the travel vibe. The room cost around 140,000 KRW including tax, and I opted for a twin bed for two adults, ensuring a comfortable sleep. The welcome gift of traditional sweets was a nice touch, although there was no outlet near the beds for charging phones. I managed to charge my devices using the outlets on the wall instead.

The view from the room was of the neighboring building’s cooling tower, but I could also see Namsan Tower in the distance, which was a nice bonus. The room was well-equipped with cups, drinks, and a coffee pot, and they even provided a bathrobe for added comfort. The bathroom featured soft lighting, and all toiletries were neatly arranged, leaving me satisfied with my choice to spend a bit more for this stay.

The shower had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash readily available. However, I had to bring my own toothbrush and toothpaste, and I also wished I had remembered to pack a shower towel. Knowing this beforehand would have made my stay more convenient.

In conclusion, Stanford Hotel Myeongdong provided a quiet and comfortable environment that I thoroughly enjoyed. The soundproofing was excellent, allowing for restful sleep on their cozy bedding. I would definitely consider returning on my next trip!
