2. Authentic Accommodation Reviews by Korean

Now, let’s get into the real-deal accommodation reviews of Shilla Stay Plus Ihotewoo. I’ll be sharing with you the nitty-gritty of reviews left by actual Korean guests who’ve stayed in the hotel.

2.1. Review 1 : A newly opened Shilla Stay Plus Ihotewoo offers a luxurious and relaxing oceanview experience in Jeju Island..

What It Was Like Staying at Shilla Stay Plus Ihotewoo

Here’s my personal summary of my recent stay at Shilla Stay Plus Ihotewoo Jeju, a brand-new leisure hotel that opened in May 2024 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Shilla Stay brand. I chose this hotel while searching for something a bit more unique and upscale near Jeju Airport — and it turned out to be a fantastic pick.

Located just 18 minutes by car from Jeju International Airport, the hotel is highly accessible, making it a perfect stop for the last night of your trip. It’s also only about 7 minutes away from Ihotewoo Beach, and offers easy access to the western parts of Jeju like Aewol. The exterior of the hotel is wave-shaped, creating a striking first impression, and the upscale lobby sets the tone for a sophisticated stay. The nearby seaside walking trails are perfect for a peaceful stroll before check-in.

What stood out the most was the outdoor pool area — the true highlight of this hotel. Divided into an adult-only pool and a family pool, it offers something for every type of traveler. The exotic, resort-like atmosphere, with the ocean just beyond the pool, was truly memorable. The pool operates in timed slots, with wristbands required for access, and runs from 9 AM to 10 PM. The poolside bar also runs from 12 PM to 10 PM, though it’s closed in the winter season.

I stayed in a Premier Deluxe Double Ocean View room located between the 3rd and 6th floors. The room was spotless and stylish, with modern furnishings and a stunning sea view. The bathroom was also spacious and clean, consistent with the feel of a newly opened hotel.

Breakfast is served from 7 AM to 10 AM. The variety was excellent, though it tends to get crowded around 8 AM, so arriving early is recommended. There’s also an on-site café called Waveless, open from 10 AM to 9 PM, with a breathtaking full view of the ocean — ideal for a relaxed coffee break whether you’re a guest or a visitor.

Overall, I found Shilla Stay Plus Ihotewoo to be a superb choice for those seeking clean, modern facilities, convenient airport access, and a memorable oceanview experience. It’s definitely a hotel I’d revisit on my next trip to Jeju’s west coast.

2.2. Review 2 : Shilla Stay Plus Ihotewoo in Jeju delivers a perfect all-in-one stay with ocean views, a heated outdoor pool, quality dining, and a relaxing lounge — totally worth the hype!

What It Was Like Staying at Shilla Stay Plus Ihotewoo

Here’s my detailed review summary of my recent stay at Shilla Stay Plus Ihotewoo — one of Jeju’s hottest new hotels. Located just 15 minutes by car from Jeju International Airport, this freshly opened seaside hotel offers a fantastic value stay that includes spacious oceanview rooms, a heated outdoor pool, a stylish lounge, and a satisfying breakfast buffet.

Despite several missed opportunities in the past, I finally made it to this popular hotel on my latest Jeju trip — and it turned out to be far better than expected. From the moment I arrived, I could tell this wasn’t just a standard stay. The hotel’s atmosphere, service, and attention to detail felt a notch above, especially considering its reasonable price.

My room was the Premier Deluxe Ocean View, featuring a king-size bed, a two-seater sofa, and even a round table for casual lounging or light work. The smart TV with built-in Netflix and YouTube was a great touch. Although there’s no bathtub, the room had a spacious and clean shower booth with all basic toiletries — though note that toothbrush and toothpaste are charged at 1,000 KRW, so bring your own to save.

The ocean view from the room the next morning was truly magical — I could see Iho Tewoo Beach right up close, making the extra ₩50,000 upgrade for the view absolutely worth it. The first floor also features a fitness center and a CU convenience store (open until midnight, alcohol and cigarettes not sold), adding to the overall convenience.

The lounge operates until midnight and offers a 50% discount on food for guests (excluding alcohol). I tried the famous Shilla-style jjamppong (KRW 35,000) packed with seafood like abalone, scallops, and shrimp — and it was every bit as delicious as expected. The fried chicken and fries (KRW 23,000) were crispy and flavorful. Dining at the lounge was an unexpected highlight of the stay.

The breakfast buffet is served in the same 1st floor café space (7 AM to 10 AM, ₩30,000 per adult). From Korean porridge and seaweed soup to Western-style steak grilled to order, there was an impressive variety of dishes. The steak station especially stood out — it was surprisingly tender and flavorful even in the morning!

Now, the best part — the heated outdoor pool. With an ocean backdrop and the sound of waves in the air, the pool was pure bliss. It’s open year-round with hot water and no limit on usage for guests. There’s also a children’s pool and slide, making it perfect for families as well.

Honestly, I’ve stayed at many hotels in Jeju, but this is the first time I’ve found one where the ocean feels this close. Watching planes fly overhead and listening to the waves while soaking in warm water was an unforgettable experience — and the reason I already want to go back.
