Hello there ~ Today, I would like to introduce a Seoul hotel I recently visited. In particular, I was very satisfied with its location and value for money.

“RoyNet Hotel Seoul Mapo!”

RoyNet is one of the hotel chains I frequently visited during trips to Japan, with over 70 branches there, making it incredibly famous! They opened their first location in Mapo, Seoul.

What’s great about the location of this Seoul hotel is that it’s less than a 10-minute walk to both Gongdeok Station and Mapo Station, and there’s a bus stop right in front of it. Nearby are Hongdae, Seodaemun, Yongsan, and Jongno, and just across the bridge is Yeouido, making it convenient to travel to various places via public transportation and by car.

In addition, there’s a limousine service to Incheon Airport, and it’s also convenient to travel to Seoul Station, Gimpo Airport, and Incheon Airport via Gongdeok Station. Moreover, the hotel’s close proximity to various restaurants, cafes, and hotspots adds to its charm 🙂

As expected of a newly built hotel, the overall atmosphere was clean and modern. There are cafes and restaurants on the 1st and 2nd floors of the building, and the hotel lobby, as well as the front desk, are located on the 3rd floor.

On one side of the lobby, there are coffee machines and tea bags available, so you can enjoy a beverage while waiting for check-in/check-out. What’s notable is that they even have a Yura coffee machine…!!

RoyNet Hotel Seoul Mapo : elevator

RoyNet Hotel Seoul Mapo is a high-rise building with 24 floors and over 300 guest rooms. You need to tag your key to use the elevator, and from late evening to dawn, you can only enter and exit the main entrance with a card key.

Our assigned room was on the 18th floor. As soon as I stepped out of the elevator, I saw a beautiful sofa and window, which made me even more excited. I heard that some rooms offer views of the Han River. I entered the room while imagining how beautiful the night view would be.

RoyNet Hotel Seoul Mapo : twin room

We were very pleased with the twin bed room we had booked. The carpet was new and clean, and the atmosphere with the furniture and beds was pleasant. The lighting was also bright, which we liked. We stayed with a child and requested twin beds, which were also satisfactory.

There are many delicious restaurants nearby and convenience stores are close, making it a great place to have dinner. On our way in, we brought some late-night snacks, and the two-seater sofa and table came in really handy! It’s also convenient to travel to Hongdae or Sinchon.

Although it wasn’t a view of the Han River, the dazzling night view of the high-rise buildings made up for any disappointment.

Oh, and there’s an air purifier in the room too. Seeing this reminded me of staying at a RoyNet Hotel during a trip to Japan. Compared to the typical Japanese hotels we’re used to, the rooms here are larger and more pleasant, so you don’t have to worry.

There is space for your luggage, slippers, bathrobes, a safe, cups, mugs, an electric kettle, and two bottles of water provided.

The bathroom had a typical Japanese hotel style as well. When you opened the door, there was a toilet and sink. The area with a bathtub and shower was separated like a separate room, which was convenient.

Now, let’s take a look at the facilities available inside the hotel, outside of the guest rooms!

In many Japanese hotels, you’ll find places with microwaves. RoyNet Hotel Seoul Mapo also has a laundry room, microwave, and ice water dispenser on two floors, making it convenient.

RoyNet Hotel Seoul Mapo : fitness room

Also, there’s a fitness center on the 2nd floor of the hotel building, so keep that in mind if you need to exercise.

Lastly, let’s talk about the breakfast!!

RoyNet Hotel Seoul Mapo

Personally, among the Seoul hotels I’ve visited recently, I loved the breakfast here the most! First, I booked with breakfast included, and during check-in, they provided breakfast coupons like this. They also provide a parking discount barcode coupon during check-in, and guests can park for 6,000 KRW per night. It’s worth noting that you can leave and re-enter the parking lot between check-in and check-out, and the final parking fee is 6,000 KRW, which is great!!

Breakfast at RoyNet Hotel Seoul Mapo is served at “Gyeongbokgung” located on the 2nd floor. This restaurant, which usually operates as a regular dining establishment, allows you to choose from six different menus for the morning meal from 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Buffets where you can sample various dishes are nice, but personally, I can’t eat much in the morning, so having a full meal while sitting comfortably like this was perfect.

Beef Bone Doenjang Soup Set / Korean Beef Seaweed Soup Set Yanggobtang Set / Nutritious Abalone Porridge Set Open Sandwich / Children’s Lunchbox

Which menu entices you ?!

We ordered one each of the Doenjang Soup and Yanggobtang. We enjoyed a delicious meal in the morning with a steaming bowl of soup and rice!

RoyNet Hotel Seoul Mapo : checkout kiosk

After spending a leisurely morning, we were able to check out quickly and conveniently using the kiosk next to the front desk.

So far, we’ve shared our experience at the new Mapo hotel, <RoyNet Hotel Seoul Mapo>. As mentioned earlier, its ‘location’ and value for money make it a satisfying choice among Seoul hotels. When coming to Seoul from other areas, it’s a great recommendation for those who need convenient transportation and need to travel to Incheon Airport, Gimpo Airport, or Seoul Station
