2.1. Review 1: “L7 Haeundae Hotel: A promising new hotel with great location and amenities but some room for improvement.”

Summary of the Blog Post

During my recent trip to Busan, I stayed at the newly opened L7 Haeundae Hotel. This post is a review of the Ocean View Family Twin Room and breakfast.

L7 Haeundae Hotel boasts an excellent location, right across from the Busan Aquarium, between BMW and McDonald’s. Parking costs 5,000 KRW from check-in until 1 PM the next day, which is relatively cheap for Haeundae hotels.

Self-check-in is available on the 3rd floor, with comfortable spaces to relax before and after check-in. The room we stayed in was a Standard Family Twin Room with a single and a double bed. The room featured wireless charging on the table and cozy bedding. However, the ceiling finish was disappointing, and the corridor had a new building smell, which might bother sensitive guests.

Behind a sliding door in the room, there were shelves for luggage, a refrigerator, a safe, and bathrobes. The bathroom and toilet were separate, with body wash, shampoo, and conditioner provided, but guests need to bring their own toothbrush and toothpaste. Unfortunately, there was no bathtub.

The hotel offers various amenities: a 7-Eleven on the 1st floor, a Maxibar on the 3rd floor for purchasing one-time use items and snacks, a guest pantry, and a business corner. The 5th floor has an Energy Studio and a laundry room, while the 19th floor features a rooftop infinity pool, although it is only available to package deal guests during peak season.

Breakfast is served on the 2nd floor restaurant, Floating, from 7 AM to 10 AM. The buffet includes a variety of drinks, bread, salads, fruits, cereals, and hot dishes. There were also Busan-style pork soup ramen, made-to-order omelets, fried eggs, abalone porridge, broccoli soup, sausages, bacon, and dim sum.

Overall, the L7 Haeundae Hotel offers an excellent location and various convenient facilities. However, improvements are needed regarding the ceiling finish and new building smell.

  • Location: Across from Busan Aquarium, between BMW and McDonald’s
  • Parking: 5,000 KRW (from check-in to 1 PM the next day)
  • Room: Single + double bed, wireless charging table, cozy bedding, disappointing ceiling finish, new building smell in the corridor
  • Bathroom: Separate, body wash, shampoo, conditioner provided, bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste, no bathtub
  • Amenities: 1st floor 7-Eleven, 3rd floor Maxibar (snacks and one-time use items), guest pantry, business corner, 5th floor

2.2. Review 2 : “A satisfying stay at the new, clean, and luxurious L7 hotel with a Haeundae beach view.”

Summary of the Blog Post

Recently opened L7 Hotel in Haeundae, Busan, had its grand opening on June 20th, and I was fortunate enough to visit during the soft opening period. Thanks to my company’s business partner, I received a complimentary stay. The hotel, listed at around 200,000 KRW per night on the Yanolja app, goes up to 330,000 KRW on Saturdays. Located right in front of Haeundae Beach, the hotelโ€™s first floor was preparing for a Seven-Eleven store.

On the 3rd floor, where check-in and check-out are handled, the lobby was clean and well-designed. It featured tables for playing chess and Go, event spaces, and numerous lockers for free luggage storage, which was very convenient for exploring the area after check-out. There was also a 24-hour vending machine and bath bombs for sale.

The Family Room we stayed in had a beautiful wooden key card. We were assigned room 1009, which had a double bed, a single bed, and an extra bed, making it spacious. The room had a table and chairs, a smart TV, robes, slippers, a coffee pot with tea bags, and a refrigerator. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The room had a door separating the bedroom and the bathroom, but unfortunately, it wasnโ€™t soundproof. The bathroom was clean with a sink, hairdryer, bathtub, and toilet equipped with a bidet. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were provided.

The best feature of our room was the Haeundae ocean view. However, to fully enjoy the ocean view, one would need to stay in the room during the day. The rooftop pool was closed during the soft opening, which was a disappointment. Despite this, the hotel felt clean and luxurious, living up to the Lotte brandโ€™s standards.

    • Clean bathroom, shampoo, conditioner, body wash provided
  • Advantages: Haeundae ocean view, cleanliness
  • Disappointments: Soundproofing issue, rooftop pool closed during soft opening

2.3. Review 3 : “Great Value Ocean View Hotel, L7 Haeundae”

Summary of the Blog Post

I recently visited L7 Haeundae, a brand new hotel that opened on June 20th. Thanks to a friend, I had the opportunity to stay there before the official opening. I experienced everything from the rooms to the pool and the breakfast buffet.

Location & Check-In

L7 Haeundae is located 500m from Haeundae Station Exit 5 and is a 1-minute walk from the beach. Check-in is done on the 3rd-floor lobby, which is adorned with art pieces, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Although I checked in manually due to the pre-opening trial stay, self-check-in and check-out will be available in the future.

Rooms

I stayed in a Superior Twin room, which had two single beds. The room was simply furnished but very clean, with comfortable bedding that ensured a deep sleep. The room also had a digital clock and a smart TV with various OTT services. The bathroom was simple, with essential amenities like shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided.

Rooftop Pool

The rooftop pool at L7 Haeundae offers stunning views of Haeundae Beach. It’s available only to package guests during peak season but free for all guests during off-peak times. The pool is a four-season heated pool with a jacuzzi and a dry sauna, making it convenient to use even in winter.

Breakfast

The breakfast is served buffet-style, costing 30,000 KRW for adults and 22,000 KRW for children. It includes a variety of breads, charcuterie, and local specialties like pork rice soup. The seafood salad and tonkotsu ramen were particularly memorable.

Facilities

The fitness studio is small but equipped with basic machines, suitable for a quick workout. The MAXI BAR & laundry room offers vending machines and coin-operated laundry facilities. There are also self-service lockers for storing luggage.
