The bathroom was spacious, but I found it disappointing that the sink and toilet were not separated. The amenities were well-stocked, including toothbrushes and toothpaste, and I was surprised to find mouthwash as well. The shower had great water pressure, and the room featured complimentary TWG tea and capsule coffee. The room was equipped with a work desk, a sofa, and two double beds, allowing for a comfortable stay.
Breakfast was served at La Palette Paris on the fourth floor, with a price of 60,000 KRW. The restaurant was smaller than I expected, but the variety of food was impressive. There were made-to-order omelets, Korean dishes, a selection of fruits and desserts, as well as Indian curry and naan, which piqued my interest. However, while the quality of the breakfast was good, I felt that the small scale did not justify the high price of 60,000 KRW.
Before checking out, I utilized the fitness center and swimming pool. The pool is located on the top floor, and while the fitness center was somewhat small, it was well-equipped with Technogym machines. The pool was lively, with many families using it, but I was able to enjoy a cozy swim.
Overall, my experience at Le Méridien Seoul Myeongdong exceeded my expectations. The room and service were excellent, but the small fitness center and breakfast area left me wanting more. Given the relatively high room rates, it seems best suited for special occasions.
